In this episode Marty speaks with “The Turtle Master” Eduardo Telles. Eduardo is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Fabio Gurgel and one of the most creative grapplers in the World. He is a World No Gi Champion, Pan American Champion, Brazilian National Champion, and has place in numerous competitions at the highest levels. He is the originator of the Turtle guard and the Octopus guard. In this interview he discusses how he got started Jiu Jitsu, competing at the highest levels, what it takes to be a world class competitor, changing your training as you get older, working with kids, IBJJf and other organizations/competitions such as EBI, how boogie boarding helped his jiu Jitsu, his love for surfing, his academy (Nine Nine Jiu Jitsu), major influencers on his life and Jiu Jitsu, his family, and more!
