       Todd Tanaka
Todd Tanaka is a Relson Gracie black Belt. He owns and runs Team HK/Todd Tanaka Relson Gracie Academy (which is also a CTC through the Gracie Academy) in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is a long time practitioner and has been very involved in the Relson Gracie association for many years. He has a wealth of  Jiu Jitsu experience and insight, and spreads this to all his students. In this interview Todd talks about his Jiu Jitsu journey, teaching Anthony Bordaine a private, a recent "street" encounter he had, self defense, competition, and his passion for teaching.

There are many benefits of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My father is an avid fan of Submission Grappling on television. I've been on the wrestling team ever since middle school and I really enjoy it. Todd Tanaka is one of the best practitioners that I've heard of. Our coach always talks about him during our lunch breaks. Thanks for featuring him on your page.
